Tula Spring Looks

It’s never too early in winter to get hyped up for spring. Here at Tula, we’re bananas about everything spring. It’s one of our favorite  seasons because it combines the best elements of summer and winter wear into one unbelievable season of fashion.

Spring weather can be unpredictable – especially in Colorado! It’s easy to get too excited about warmer temperatures and end up freezing all day. Get a relaxed, but refined look with the AG Tomboys, Elizabeth and James New Cohen Shirt and a Love Heals necklace for a pop of color. Finish off with your favorite pair of flats, or transition into late afternoon cocktails in nude heels. It’s the perfect way to get out of your dark, winter colors and into some springy neutrals and pastels. You’ll look seasonal and fabulous while still coping with the lingering chill in the air.

Another great spring must-have is an all purpose maxi skirt or dress. They keep your gams nice and toasty, but give you an opportunity to experiment with color and prints. Again, be ready for any kind of weather but still maintain that spring state of mind. Pair the Splendid Printed Maxi with the Free People Henley Crochet Cuff. Bring along the Vince Eyelash Sweater in case it gets cold.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. New spring lines are coming in nearly every day at Tula! Stop by and refresh your wardrobe to get through the last couple weeks of those winter blues.

Chan Luu

At Tula, we’re proud to carry accessories and jewelry by some of today’s most renowned and celebrated designers. But, as Valentine’s Day approaches, we feel it’s only appropriate to profile a staff favorite – Chan Luu.

Vietnamese designer Chan Luu designed and pioneered the iconic wrap bracelet that has been spotted on many celebrities and Hollywood A-listers. A dedicated world traveler, Chan Luu’s pieces are inspired by cultures throughout the world and feature unique colors and materials.

This inspired designer is constantly delivering new and unique creations. One of our favorites is the Silk Tie and Silk Chiffon Tie bracelets. These pieces have become an instant hit this Valentine’s Day, but don’t worry, we still have some in stock.

Make sure to ask about the other items that we carry by Chan Luu. You don’t want to miss out on her beautiful scarves, necklaces and earrings. And we’re very excited to announce that we will be carrying Chan Luu apparel in just a few months.

Valentines Day Outfits

It’s that special time of year again! Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and whether you’re spending a romantic night with the one you love, or rallying the girls and going out for a night on the town, Tula is here to make it a stylish event.

For cocktails and dinner with the girls, be bold and have a little more fun with your look. Pair the eye-catching DVF Karlian Dress with a simple Sydney Evan necklace, loose hair and pumps. Or, if you’re feeling edgy, thrown on a rugged belt from +Beryll around the hips.

For a romantic night out with the one you love, choose a softer look that doesn’t steal all the attention from your date. On a night like this, you don’t want an outfit that’s going to distract him from what’s most important – you! For a more upscale evening, pair the DVF Alba Two Dress with the Sydney Evan Horn necklace and black heels. It’s sophisticated and chic, but still hugs the body enough to make you look feminine and desirable.

For something more fun and flirty, but still soft and understated, try the Free People Color Block Dress. The colors are perfect for V-Day and the dress moves so elegantly…he won’t be able to take his eyes off you.

We hope these tips will help you set the mood for a romantic Valentine’s Day this year. And remember ladies, Tula carries an unimaginable array of creations from today’s most revered and celebrated jewelry designers. It never hurts to stop by with the one
you love and take a look!

Tula’s Ready For Resort Wear

With our recent shipments of Elizabeth & James and Free People, we’re all about resort wear at Tula these days. This look is exactly what you need in the middle of a dreary winter.

The concept of resort wear is more of a state of mind rather than a fashion trend. With this look, it’s not about merely dressing yourself, it’s about being transported to another place. Like a great vacation, these clothes are about comfort and luxury, sheer and sensuous fabrics and sequined glamour.

Make sure you check out Elizabeth & James this season to see what we mean. Try layering their Tokyo Jim Blazer over the Jamie Tie Blouse for an effortless, super-soft look.

Get a little more flirtatious and fun with Free People. Pair the Lovely Crocheted skort with the La Bonita Cape or Bell Sleeve Baby Tee for a more bohemian, beach-baby vibe. Accessorize with a long statement necklace from Chan Luu, knee-high boots and you’re good to go.

Whether you’re escaping to the tropics or lying low for the winter months, resort wear is a great way to beat the winter blues and bring some more sass and glamour into your wardrobe. Stop by Tula and let us bring the resort to you!

Tula Formal Wear

We’re so excited to be carrying formal wear. And, as your new one-stop-shop for all your formal wear needs, we’re here to encourage you to accessorize and be playful with the traditional cocktail dress.

Recently, reality TV star Lauren Conrad was seen wearing the BCBG Sonja Pallette dress from last season.

No doubt she looks great, but this is how Tula would style it…

The detail of the dress is stunning all by itself, so keep it simple and chic. Throw on the vegan leather jacket from Free People and a black leather belt from Old Stud. Add a pair of black, strappy heels,  an understated clutch and you’re good to go. Keep your hair and makeup simple so you don’t draw any attention away from the dress.

This is one of many designs from BCBG that are currently in stock. Stop by and let us style you!

Free People Vegan Leather

You may have noticed a scattering of enviro-friendly options at Tula over the past couple seasons. One of our favorite additions is vegan leather from Free People. Vegan leather is considered to be an ecological and animal-friendly alternative to real leather. Although a number of design houses are jumping on board with the trend, we believe Free People does it best.

Last fall we saw their fun and flirty vegan leather mini-skirt fly off our shelves. For the winter and spring transition, we have the ultra chic and versatile leather jacket. Like all leather jackets, you can pair this number with just about anything. However, the cropped waist and asymmetrical zippers add a bit of flare making it more than your average jacket. Below we paired it with the BCBG Carole Dress and Love Heal Zendo Necklace.

Stop by and see or yourself – it more than passes for real leather. And keep an eye for more vegan leather on our shelves throughout the coming seasons.

Diane von Furstenberg… Timeless Classics

We are and will continue to see her work throughout the Tula racks, so it seems only right to devote some time to the one and only, Diane von Furstenberg.

Commonly known as the genius behind the iconic wrap dress, like the Linda Dress above, DVF has been catering to the modern woman since the 1970′s when, with a $30,000 investment, she began designing women’s clothes. (Oh, and this was after she married and divorced her first husband, Prince Egon of Furstenberg. That’s right…she was a princess for a time.)

In addition to her clothing empire, she also founded a publishing house called Salvy and started other ventures including a home-shopping business and a cosmetics line. In 2005, the Council of Fashion Designers of America awarded her the Lifetime Achievement Award.

You only have to browse around Tula to see what an amazing and chic eye this woman has – her timeless designs truly represents what being a woman is all about.

Shoes!

Shoes, shoes, shoes! Here at Tula, we understand the value of a great pair of shoes. That’s why we always try to have a variety of styles in stock. Right now we’re loving the range and versatility of our shoe vendors.

Old Gringo- you can never go wrong with a rugged pair of cowboy boots. Old Gringo consistently delivers on vintage charm mixed with contemporary detail. Whether it’s a zipper up the side or intricate thread detail throughout, each pair of Old Gringos gives you that perfect mix of comfort and style.

Hollywood Trading Company – HTC product has been flying off the shelves since we picked up the line earlier in the year. The brand was created in the 90′s by Zip Stevenson, who had a passion for hand made, “American vintage” leather belts. Beyond their amazing belts are the shoes. The Walker Boot is a taupe ankle boot with a flap that can be worn high or folded over. Pair it with skinny jeans or a skirt for an
edgy look. The Hurricane Boot is a black biker boot with studs around the ankle. The crinkled effect of the leather coming up the calf gives it a worn, vintage look.

Love Heals- A Great Holiday Gift

One of our most beloved jewelry lines here at Tula (by staff and customers alike) is Love Heals. Each piece is unique and is made with the highest quality, ethically sourced materials found in nature. Furthermore, it’s a family run operation whose bottom line is rooted in philanthropy.

The design team is made up of a mother, son and daughter team – Adriana, Gunnar and Elisa. When they started the business, their initial vision was to simply create beauty and share it with the world. That vision quickly expanded into a brand based on giving back
to the community and the environment.

Here are some of the ways Love Heals gives back. For every piece sold, ten trees are planted with Greener Ethiopia. To date, more than 660,000 trees have been planted. For each Vision piece sold, Love Heals donates to Vitamin Angels, an organization that provides essential nutrients to at-risk children reducing child mortality worldwide. And, if you purchase a piece from the Hope Line, Love Heals donates to Generation Rescue, an organization the provides Autism treatments to children diagnosed with Autism.

We love everything about Love Heals – stop by Tula to see what we currently have in stock and see how you can make a difference today.
