BCBG Runway at Tula

We are so excited to have recently received several pieces from BCBG Max Azria’s vibrant spring runway show. Since 1989, the fashion house has been creating breezy, sexy styles for the fashionable, everyday woman. Their mission is to create key pieces, shoes and accessories that are dressy yet comfortable.

We are so lucky to have the Melodie, Dayanna and Esmie dresses in store right now. Trust us, BCBG has lived up to its stylish reputation with these stunning pieces, which you have to see to believe.

These dresses are a work of art all on their own, so keep styling to a minimum. Try pairing an Old Stud cuff with the Melodie dress – give yourself some height in a pair of black heels and you’ll make heads turn. These pieces really shine when you see how they move on the body, so make sure to stop by and try them on yourself!

How Would You Rock Your Denim Jacket?

Spring may have sprung, but when you still feel a nip in the air that perfect denim jacket can really come in handy. We recently received the J Brand Denim Jacket for our spring/summer collection and are having so much fun experimenting with this closet mainstay.

We all know what a great addition a denim jacket can be to any outfit. Try pairing it with white jeans, understated pumps and a colorful top-check out the Pocket Tanks and Pocket Tees from Rag & Bone for layering inspiration. Or, go for an edgier look with an old rocker tee.

Try making your denim jacket the focus of your outfit by simply wearing it over a Free People Halter Bra. Try tucking it into the Hudson Gwen Wide Leg pants accessorized with a chunky belt for a casual, yet chic spring look. Another option is to leave it untucked with the Elizabeth & James Vera Pant for a more loose and billowy ensemble.

Rocking billowy fabrics with lots of movement is a fabulous way to usher in spring and summer. This season’s shipments from DVF, Alcee and Elizabeth & James showcase exotic and eclectic prints on light and breezy fabrics that will give you a spring in your step.

One of our favorite pieces is the stunning DVF Nascha Dress. Keep styling to a minimum – try pairing with the Newbury boots from Rag & Bone and hair pulled back to let the dress speak for itself.

For a more casual look, check out the DVF Dariana Short Sleeve Tie. Pairing this top with the 7 for all Mankind Roll Up Shorts is the perfect way to mix billowy elegance on top with comfort and fun on the bottom. An effortless yet chic spring outfit.

If simplicity is what you’re after, you have to get your hands on the Elizabeth & James Vera Pant. The 100% silk, wide leg trouser pants add amazing movement and volume to any outfit. Keep it simple on top with a simple tee from James Perse or Michael Stars.

One Shoulder’s at Tula

If you keep up with our facebook, twitter and everything Tula, you may have noticed we’re loving the one shoulder look right now. A one shoulder ensemble is a great way to look sexy and sophisticated at the same time. It shows just the right amount of skin while still leaving plenty to the imagination.

Some of our favorite one shoulder looks include the BCBG Inga Dress and the Alcee Inez Dress. Two beautiful pieces that can easily go from day to night. Try pairing both with a chunky, leather belt and boots. For more evening class, pair with your favorite pumps and statement earrings.

Or, let the dress speak for itself. The neon coral Liluya Dress from DVF needs nothing more than nude heels and simple jewelry. You’ll feel like a goddess in this fabulous, draped gown.

It’s definitely a look that says, “spring is here!”

Print Denim at Tula

One of our favorite spring trends has recently arrived at Tula – printed denim! Even the most fashionable ladies tend to reserve neutrals and solids for the bottom and fun colors and patterns for the top, but printed denim is a great way to break with tradition and experiment with fashion.

We’re having so much fun showing the newest printed denim from Seven in the form of the Cropped Second Skin Legging Jean. This show-stopping jean comes in two designs and colors – a deep purple and a beige. Since these jeans have quite the personality, make sure to keep it simple up top. Try pairing them with the Vince Eyelash sweater, or the Michael Stars Dolman top so that it’s all about the jeans. The cropped cut is a perfect opportunity to show off a pair of your fiercest heels or pumps.

Stop by Tula today to see which print works for you!

Maxi Dresses at Tula

Spring and summer are upon us, and so is one of our favorite go-to pieces…the maxi dress. What an easy and comfortable way to look elegant and chic. Maxi dresses and skirts instantly add length to any shape and size.

One of our favorites is the Velvet Maxi Tank Dress. Try belting it at the waist with a chunky leather belt. It accents your figure and helps you avoid that baggy look that some maxi dresses tend to give off.

Another great addition to our maxi collection is the White Maxi from Michael Stars. Try adding a statement necklace like the Chan Luu Bead Necklace, or a colorful scarf to add some pop.

This is only the tip of the iceberg! Come see what other options we have in stock from designers like Pete and Chan Luu.

Mardi Gras Fashion Show featuring Tula

Here at Tula, we have a special place in our hearts for the charity, A Child’s Dream. Every year, we participate in their annual Mardi Gras fashion show fundraiser. Not only is it a great way to give back to the community, it’s an opportunity to show off our fabulous spring collection.

We had so many great options this year it was hard to pin down just six looks, but we managed! One of our favorite ensembles (modeled by our fearless leader, Deb), was an all-neutrals ensemble comprised of the Rag & Bone 42nd Street Blazer with the Elizabeth & James Vera Pant. The contrasting fabrics and shades of white in the outfit say effortlessly chic and impeccably tailored. We also devoted an entire walk through to that closet mainstay – the little black dress. We made sure to present LBD looks from a range of designers including the oh-so-classy Diane von Furstenberg, Madison Marcus and BCBG.

If you missed the fashion show, make sure to stop by Tula and see what we have in store for spring!
