Welcoming the Newest Brand to Tula: K. Jacques Sandals

K. Jacques is a  manufacturer of beautiful handmade sandals. Founded in 1933 by Mr. and Mrs. Keklikian Jacques, the brand originally made shoes for sailors. Their first shop doubled as a workshop and was located on 25 rue Allard in St. Tropez. Today they are still producing shoes in St. Tropez where they have continued using artisanal techniques and currently employ 25 people.

A pair of sandals from K. Jacques are not only an ode to traditional craftsmanship but also practical shoes that will last a lifetime. The shoes only get better with wear and are perfect with the warmer months.

New York Fashion Week Spring 2014 Recap

With the end of New York Fashion week we take a look back at what we saw at two of our favorite brands: Elizabeth and James, and Rag & Bone.

Rag & Bone: Stepping away from Rag & Bone’s usual ultra-tailored British inspired pieces, designers David Neville and Marcus Wainwright brought something fresh to the table. Nineties inspired garments graced their Spring 2014 runway: cropped tops, bib tanks, and iridescent metallic.

Elizabeth and James: Always designing for the real world, Elizabeth and James spring 2014 greatly reflected the style of its designers Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen. Cool separates, cargo, and easy dresses were the focus of their spring collection, all of which were looks you could easily dress up or down for a tousled chic look.

Look for these great pieces from Rag & Bone and Elizabeth and James next spring season at Tula boutique.

Back to Cool

Morganne Wears: Rebecca Lankford Gold Leather Cross NecklaceNSF Lesli Chambray ShirtChaser Pink Floyd TankOld Stud Vintage Jeweled Belt/ Hudson Collin Skinny Jeans/ Chan Luu Satin Wrap/ Old Stud 50 Cuff/ Old Stud 50 Cuff

Whether you are headed off to the fall semester of school or you are just getting ready for the changing season, fall is a great season to revamp your wardrobe. With the ready to wear shows at Lincoln Center, the September issues, and new merchandise at all your favorite stores, inspiring fashion can be found everywhere you look.

We are loving going back to basics this fall- great denim, cool tees, and light jackets. Hudson, Mothers, 7 For All Mankind, and J Brand are all great jeans to start off this look. Cool tees from Chaser and Free People really add a pop of interest to an otherwise basic look. Rather than a traditional jacket, a denim shirt makes a perfect and versatile jacket. Our favorite denim shirts are from NSF, Rag and Bone, and 7 For All Mankind. The look is finished off with layered bracelets from Old Stud and Chan Luu.

We would love to hear from you: what are you looking forward to wearing this fall?
